About

About the Photographer

Paul Scharff is an unusual photographer.

After getting an MBA from The Wharton School, Paul spent 24 years at the nation's largest advertising agency as a communications strategist for some of the best known brands in America. As such, Paul's interest in photography has always been commercially driven for businesses and organizations. Paul's photos are certainly breathtaking -- but more importantly, they evoke a desired response from prospects and customers. Paul's objective is to give all his clients an edge over their competition.

Paul has never entered a juried competition. His success is measured by his clients' success. If their revenues or inquiries or brand awareness is up, Paul has done his job right.

This doesn't mean that Paul's work isn't beautiful -- it is, as you will see. But it's beautiful in the quest for client business.

Paul's work is in five primary areas:

1. Large and Small Business Promotion. This is work done for advertising campaigns, web sites, billboards, collateral pieces, and social media. Although Paul's largest clients are on the Fortune 100, with some with over $1 billion in revenues, Paul has also shot for individual proprieters, smaller businesses, start-ups, and boutiques.

2. Travel and Tourism. Paul has a large portfolio of work for both domestic and international entities looking to increase tourism traffic. These can be for a regional area or even an entire nation, or for a tourism attraction such as a zoo or museum, or a range of hospitality entities such as hotels. As part of this, Paul has amassed perhaps the largest single stock photography collection of Cape Cod in existence from his work with the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce over the past 13 years.

3. Architectural Interiors and Exteriors. Paul does a lot of work for designers, architects, and construction companies, as well as Realtors looking to increase traffic for their high-end listings.

4. Interior Art. Paul's beautiful shots of locations throughout the United States and the world make perfect wall art for large institutions, such as corporate offices or hospitals.

5. National and Regional News and Editorial. Paul has done photography for a range of media outlets, and has shot seven coffee table books for a Rockport, MA publisher. Over 7,500 of Paul's photos have appeared in print. As part of this, Paul has photographed every President to occupy the Oval Office for 28 consecutive years.

Below is a list of some of Paul's clients. If you would like your organization to be on this list, just give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to helping you improve your standing.
